Christine Caine - Mother’s Day

I know there are many out there for whom this day holds mixed emotions and I want you to know that God sees, God knows, God cares. For some, you desire nothing more than to be a mom but it has not happened yet for whatever reason. For others, you do not have a great relationship with your mom, others have many regrets, others live far away from your mom and today that distance seems to be magnified, others feel like you've failed as a mom --- and the list goes on and on.
I want to encourage you to be kind to yourself today, to forgive those you can, to let someone off the hook, to reach out & bring your disappointment, despair, anger, hurt and frustration to the foot of the cross. Jesus can take it and pour out His love, grace and mercy --- We may not all be mothers to our own children but we are all called to mother a generation.

Christian Music - Erica McClure - Hug Him Once For Me

"I wrote this song when our 5 1/2 month old son went to sleep for his nap on earth one day and woke up in Glory. A friend of mine who also lost a son, made the video for me. I pray it is a blessing to someone today."
Erica McClure

What's the best gift a mother can share with her children?
Around the country and around the world, mothers are celebrated and valued for the impact they have on the nurture and growth of their children. Dr. Ireland encourages mothers and all of us that the best gift they can give their children is to teach them the value of acceptance.

Christian Teaching - 700 Club Interactive - Susan Merrill

There's no such thing as a perfect mom, but author Susan Merrill says it's never too late to begin parenting the way you want.

"In January 2010, for some reason—probably because I love the characters and stories in the Old Testament—I decided to study Nehemiah for the year. As the director of iMOM, I look for the mom angle in everything I do, so with my “mom” glasses on, I began to ponder his story.

I didn’t have to look far to be able to relate. Within the first four verses Nehemiah is weeping passionately because he has heard that God’s children are in danger. I could totally relate to Nehemiah. He was passionate for his people the way a mom is passionate about her children. His people were in a great danger, exposed to the world without protection, just like so many of the children I see today.

And then it dawned on me that Nehemiah’s concern for the wall was not related to physical safety alone. Nehemiah saw something else in the terrible devastation of the wall that I had missed.

There was more to Nehemiah’s grief over the wall. There was more to his grief than the people’s physical safety. Nehemiah was grieving over their spiritual safety, too."
Susan Merrill

Happy Mothers Day 2013

God bless mothers for their patient endurance, for their persistent prayers, for their precious faith.

"Who can find a virtuous woman? For her price is far above rubies."
Proverbs 31:10.

"One Heartbeat At A Time" by Steven Curtis Chapman

Mom is the most important person in our life.
