Becoming a Christian takes place at the point of faith in Christ; becoming a disciple is a life-long journey. In this program, Dr. Ankerberg interviews Dr. David Platt, Dr. Robby Gallaty, and Bill Hull on what is involved in living for Christ, including daily practices for your spiritual growth.
Dr. Platt, Dr. Gallaty, and Hull describe what Jesus defines as a disciple and how this differs from what is often seen in the church. If Jesus' last words include making disciples of all nations, we must understand what a disciple is in order to be one and make them.
I must note that although programs and events are useful they can easily create an inwardly focused atmosphere to where the body is sustained just enough to survive but not enough to multiply... The five-fold ministry's position is not to be up high orating to an audience below, but to be the settled foundation upon which the saints are equipped to the work of the ministry of the Gospel of the Kingdom of God.
