Amid dim lights and smoke at the Church of Quail Creek, the Gaither Vocal Band opened their concert with “One Voice — Where No One Stands Alone” from their latest album “Pure And Simple.”
Reminiscent of a rock concert, audience members held up their pocket-size flashlights, provided by the door greeters, and swayed side-to-side as they sang along.
“I’d be remiss if I didn’t say that Amarillo is my favorite place to perform,” band founder and namesake Bill Gaither said. “We enjoy coming to Amarillo, we have a wonderful following in that part of the country.”
