In 1981, the Christian Broadcasting Network (CBN) launched a cartoon series about the Bible called "Superbook" in Japan. The goal in producing the book was for "Japan's children to come to know Christ." CBN says that it became Japan's best-selling book.Since then, the stories have been animated and more than a half-billion people have viewed Superbook. 104 episodes have been dubbed in 43 languages and broadcast in more than 100 countries.
